Some of the simple pleasures of life that don&#8217;t require anyone else doing the right thing, making you feel good, good news or results, come from getting up and going out the door to walk for weight loss.</strong></p>
<p><strong>We all find times when we like to relax. It feels really good under certain circumstances. Yet there are times when it feels really good to be excited too! There is a repression of &#8216;excitement&#8217; amongst many families. Excitement makes someone harder to control. The growing trend towards finding your passion or the desire to have a passionate life is a reflection that many have lost it.</strong></p>
<p><strong>Fear of excitement in others can be one reason for negative attitudes towards another&#8217;s attempt to make significant changes. When it comes to exercise the effect of a regular dynamic body workout is to eventually become energized and want to do things.</strong></p>
<p><strong>As we age we often lessen excitement along with vigor. Vitality tends to come along with active lives. Sedentary lives often attract weight gain and muscle loss.</strong></p>
<p><strong>Part of <em>walking to lose weight</em> as a lifestyle is the physically joyful approach to the world around you that is very soon automatic when you start walking. It becomes second nature to look for the beauty of nature or human endeavor.</strong></p>
<p><strong>Watch children playing. We like them to have fun and there is a number of ways each of us let ourselves experience good times. There are the quiet times. Then there are active times. A balanced person is able to be fully engaged in both. Watch a kitten or dog. </strong></p>
<p><strong>Walking is a major form of activity that fits into most lives easily. It is of benefit in countless ways.</strong></p>

Walking to Lose Weight offers a perfect benefit of being easy to maintain once the weight loss you want is achieved. This is because it has become such an ingrained and joyful habit it is easier to keep doing than to give it up. </strong></p>
<p><strong>I dislike any implication that &#8216;weight&#8217; should be thought of as a lifetime disease that perhaps may come with the idea of continuously </strong><em><strong>walking to lose weight</strong></em><strong>. The real purpose is to start with walking or any other routine activity as an add on to your lifestyle that wasn&#8217;t there before, and to integrate it with such thoroughness that the benefits including but not especially ongoing weight balance, flow every day.</strong></p>
<p><strong>Also while starting with the easiest option (walking) it is by far the healthiest and most effective to continuously try out and apply differing exercise and diet techniques to add variety, for the fun factor, and to intensify calorie burning.</strong></p>
<p><strong>Keep Walking to Lose Weight does convey the fundamental premise of successful lifetime weight balance for those with chronic weight issues, that is, once started you don&#8217;t stop. You keep activity and diet conducive to weight loss. In other words it is a benefit to remember to keep walking for weight balance even though your weight is under control now.</strong></p>
<p><strong>You don&#8217;t have to continue to talk about weight issues and walking to lose weight. With the interim goal achieved it is now about having an ongoing lifestyle that supports who you want to be!</strong></p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><strong>A way to make a walking to lose weight and an exercise for fitness program work for me has been to make it an equal part of my lifestyle as other important aspects. While weight loss is often at the back of the  mind of many of us it isn&#8217;t always a part of the activity or task schedule of our daily lives. It tends to be an add-on process. It takes off at certain times and then retreats back into obscurity when other more pressing (on some scale)needs or goals take over.</strong></p>
<p><strong>One way this reveals itself as a disadvantage is when you have actually been successful. The relaxing of your desire i.e. goals around weight loss and the tasks or focus required to achieve the original goal, often means a return to the exact behavior which caused the problem in the first place, such as lack of exercise or  poor diet and food consumption habits.</strong></p>
<p><strong>It is likely that you have lost weight successfully before. Often times it is a lack of ability to continue the behavior which caused the weight loss which triggers the return of excess weight. To use a trivial example, say your house is generally comfortable but messy. Your mother-in-law is coming and you want to make a good impression so a spring clean is underway. You could even say to yourself as you appreciate how nice it feels to be in a cleaned house with the sunshine and flowers creating a cozy effect: &#8216;This is the way I want it to be always.&#8217;  Yet with the mother-in-law gone (and she lives far away) and the kids come home and don&#8217;t understand your new desire for order and cleanliness, soon you&#8217;ve forgotten you had any other goal then to tidy up for a particular occasion.The same applies to diet and exercise aimed at one goal-weight loss- without embedding the desire into your lifestyle.</strong></p>
<p><strong>Walking for weight  loss and activity for its own sake adds value to your life in many ways. Eating in filling yet healthy ways also adds to a sense of caring and looking after ourselves and our bodies which also feels good.</strong></p>
<p><strong>Counting calories or</strong><a title="Too Old for Pedometer Steps?" href="http://ezinearticles.com/?Too-Old-For-Pedometer-Steps?&amp;id=3913761" target="_blank"><strong> pedometer steps</strong></a><strong> are ways to systematize a balanced diet and regular exercise into your lifestyle. Walking to lose weight is a lifestyle choice which lends itself to activity as a matter of course. While other  exercise options are still necessary because variety is important, the advantage of walking is its ability to fit into most lifestyles with ease, and making it easy is instrumental to weight loss success.</strong></p>
<p><strong>Walking to lose weight becomes an attitude pervasive enough that once established it has its own  momentum and replaces the need to consciously choose to diet or exercise. </strong></p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><strong>Recently I had been wondering if I was doing enough fat burning exercise while walking to lose weight. Spinning class was tempting me. Trimmed down and toned abs and thighs was my ideal result from walking for weight loss. Was I getting it quickly enough?</strong></p>
<p><strong> I&#8217;d been there but not without interval training with intense calorie burning exercises while also walking to lose weight. I have done this a few times, with the same result. The voice of reason prevailed. The result from &#8216;urgent change&#8217; exercises such as the high intensity calorie burning of spinning, is initial high fat loss which returns after giving up the exercise.</strong></p>
<p><strong>The implication is the same-whatever exercise is introduced must be maintained in some consistent way.</strong></p>
<p><strong>If you decide today to walk across America but haven&#8217;t done a day&#8217;s real exercise for several years, is it going to be successful? Read any account from those who have taken on a physical challenge which is out of the norm, and realize that they prepare.</strong></p>
<p><strong>Even walking for weight loss requires a period of adjustment for success.</strong></p>
<p><strong>You know you have made the changes necessary for success when:</strong></p>
<p><strong>you feel good about your body and the changes in it;</strong></p>
<p><strong>you enjoy looking after your body and grooming tasks more than ever;</strong></p>
<p><strong>the world has a soft glow which you feel when out in it.</strong></p>
<p><strong>Walking to lose weight is a lifestyle which suits many people to maintain consistently over time and one of the reasons is that it is so rewarding everyday.</strong></p>
<p><strong>Some of the ways you can make it enjoyable for everyday is to do fun, good feeling things when you are not walking. These are obviously ideas which also contribute to weight loss or feeling good about your body, or just being alive. You know what I mean!</strong></p>
<p><strong>This is the answer I give when asked about being aggressive with walking to lose weight: try to work up to this level of exercise at a slower rate which means that the new exercise can be maintained. </strong></p>

This is not the quickest weight loss exercise but it is more successful for weight loss over the long term than most exercise. Success when <em>walking to lose weight </em>means continued keeping-the-weight-off type of success.</p>
<p>As a beginner who is <strong>walking to lose weight</strong> decide that you&#8217;re in it for the long term. Even though you will lose weight straight away if you have not been exercising, and you are adjusting your diet to eat less calories, over time you will need to continue to increase your walking.</p>
<h3>4 Beginners&#8217; Tips in Walking to Lose Weight</h3>
<p><strong>Tip 1:</strong></p>
<p>How can you best fit walking into your week? Choose either a daily or weekly schedule of walking. Walking 20 minutes every day (or its equivalent) is your first goal. You can start with 10  minutes daily or 20 minutes 3 to 4 times a week and work your way up to the higher figure.</p>
<p><strong>Tip 2:</strong></p>
<p>Look for solutions to obstacles in your path (!) such as shoes or feet issues; strains or injuries; safe walking paths, boredom; time pressures; muscle soreness; someone getting in your way, etc. Most of these are easily solved when you focus positively on the details i.e. look for solutions rather than make excuses. For instance, splitting your 20 minute walk up into 2 ten minute periods in the morning and evening can make it more doable, overcoming schedule conflicts, tiredness, soreness, etc. Pedometer steps counting is also an alternative which allows greater flexibility if dedicated walks are simply not an attractive alternative. This method allows you to use every bit of walking activity throughout your day to count towards your weight loss exercise. <p><strong>Tip 3</strong>:</p>
<p>Find ways to love walking to lose weight. Make a decision to do this. Why? This is a lifestyle change which you will need to maintain. How successful are you at doing something you hate over a long time? Walking to lose weight is easy to love if you give it a chance by looking for what you like about it. Look for people who also enjoy walking and talk to them with enthusiasm. Talk about other topics with those who don&#8217;t have a positive attitude about walking to lose weight.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><strong>Sometimes when we have made a clear decision about our lives such as walking to lose weight as a lifestyle which allows us to interact easily with others, it still can be derailed by interference from those same others.</strong></p>
<p><strong>What we want usually includes keeping the people we love happy to be around us. Making a short term exercise or diet change is something that most of us can accept but a lifestyle change? Can your relationships support your decision or not? Generally the answer here is &#8216;yes&#8217; with the proviso that these changes are made over time and with proper preparation.</strong></p>
<p><strong>A great weight loss tip is to learn and practice graceful ways to say &#8216;not now&#8217;.</strong></p>
<p><strong>Walking to Lose Weight requires your full mental comittment or it is not a permanent weight maintenance strategy.</strong></p>
<p><strong>The capitals (Walking to Lose Weight) refers to the total package of options and decisions related to the lifestyle which supports your weight loss with walking. There is more involved then having the time to walk because in most instances it is a question of making the time to walk over the long term and not just before that doctor&#8217;s appointment.</strong></p>
<p><strong>A recent weekend away illustrates this point. A group of friends and I, decided to spend Easter in winery country. After the fabulous time we had I was saying that I had decided to &#8220;give up&#8221; coffee and diet sodas for this time away and drink only water, wine and tea. This was my personal and private decision to live within my new lifestyle.</strong></p>
<p><strong>Our host was frustrated: But you hardly drank any wine!</strong></p>
<p><strong>This  misses the point-by making the decision in advance, I could have drunk more wine if I had wanted.</strong></p>
<p><strong>The same friend is very easily prevented from walking, seeing obstacles in waning light etc.and challenging my decisions to do so. I did in fact not walk on one occasion purely because of the group effect. However I knew this was the reason and chose  harmony over my rights. Discretion in how you undertake this new lifestyle with others is important. If you have to fight for your decisions this can be draining. However there are other ways.</strong></p>
<p><strong>In previous posts I have recommended that walking to lose weight is better as an essentially individual hobby. (Unless you live in LA.)</strong></p>
<p><strong>The comittment to walk alone releases you from most of the &#8216;group&#8217; effect where the opinion leaders within this group can have a deciding influence on your decisions. Over time as you put the preparation into changing your lifesyle most of these issues will work themselves out. Not everyone &#8216;converts&#8217; but are able to be friends without disruption to your best interests.</strong></p>
<p><strong>Then as with this most recent incident, I can decide to delay gratification, so to speak, to prepare for future success. A little time applied to an incident does wonders and usually it becomes easier to get the result you want in relationships as well as walking for weight loss, with a revision or two.</strong></p>
<p><strong>As your success gives you confidence in your ability to implement your decisions without rocking the boat, your ability to do it your way, increases. The great thing is that walking and weight loss both build confidence.</strong></p>

<p><strong>I&#8217;ve had the WiiFit for some time and have always been a big fan. It has always supplemented <em>walking for weight loss</em>, and gives guidelines, weight management advice and some fun exercises.</strong></p>
<p><strong>Since Christmas though I am an avid fan of &#8216;Just Dance&#8217; the Wii dance game. Watch the trailer below to get the idea.  The point of using such a way to exercise is to let the fun take over, not worry about the scores or what you look like. The beauty of it is that anyone dancing doesn&#8217;t have time to look at anyone else and crticize.</strong></p>

However there are many ways to add to the calories burned and increase the other advantages which come from exercising your body.</strong></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: small;"><strong>Walking to lose weight outside offers the potential opportunity to do other exercises. Recently I was walking in a park with a friend-we were walking for weight loss as were many other people who were there-and discovered that the park had an outdoor gym with some interesting gym-type equipment. It was fun and added some more intense muscle exercises and a diversion to our walk. <br /></strong></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: small;"><strong>When in a park or grassy area which lends itself to sport or activity it is more comfortable to do some exercises which wouldn&#8217;t look right in your suburban street. However you could do them at your house at the end of the walking for weight loss, or with the Wii.<br /></strong></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: small;"><strong>My suggestion today is to add lunges -doing a set of 10 every half mile or 500 meters. They could be walking lunges or stationary.</strong></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: small;"><strong>Always allow your body particualry the leg muscles to warm up before lunging, and if you haven&#8217;t done them for a while or are new to them start gently and judge how your legs are coping before intensifying.</strong></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: small;"><strong>For far too many years I couldn&#8217;t &#8216;do&#8217; lunges. For some reason the lunge fairy hadn&#8217;t stood on my shoulder and sprinkled the fairy dust and I reluctantly lunged. In case you had the same errors in your thinking as I did I will pass on my new way of doing lunges which now gets me rated as &#8216;very good&#8217;.<br /></strong></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: small;"><strong>To lunge:</strong></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: small;"><strong>Stand with your feet slightly apart and take one leg back behind, with the heel of this foot off the ground and the toes on the ground and flexed, balancing and taking the weight.<br /></strong></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: small;"><strong>The front knee must not come over the toes when bent so move the back leg further back if this is the case.</strong></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: small;"><strong>The &#8216;lunge&#8217; is bending the front knee as the back knee moves towards the ground.<br /></strong></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: small;"><strong>Stability comes from the placement of the back leg- not too close or they are impopssible to do, or too far back and balance is lost. Try until you can keep balanced while doing the lunge down and back up.</strong></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: small;"><strong>Don&#8217;t worry if your back knee doesn&#8217;t seem to go too far down at first. Unless you have a mirror it is hard to tell just how far you are getting that back knee down.</strong></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: small;"><strong>Walking to Lose Weight Hints:</strong></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: small;"><strong>1. The important leg in this exercise is the back one. Focus on dropping that back knee rather than bending the front one.</strong></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: small;"><strong>2. When taking the leg back, think &#8216;balance&#8217; rather than taking a direct line backwards. It may be easier for you to take your back foot off line a few inches. Avoid going so far as to require your body to twist when you are lunging.<br /></strong></span></p>
