			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>So I may have been a little bit cocky yesterday as I confidently tweeted &#8220;Wet weather is no deterrent for enthusiastic walkers with Gore-tex shoes!&#8221; Under normal circumstances I would have been right but the day turned out to be different then I thought. Read to the end to find out why.</p>
<p><strong>Walking to Lose Weight</strong> has morphed into something different-a lifestyle concept- for me personally and this has been the <strong>new</strong> story I&#8217;ve been telling for some time. I am delighted to see the number of new sites and gyms using the concept as well. The majority are not directly related to my efforts but some are. No this is a movement whose time has come!</p>
<p>While I have walked on and off for years prior to starting <em>Walking to Lose Weight, </em>the<em> </em>blog also gave me the opportunity to learn a new skill such as using the internet (I had been mostly a basic user) for marketing, and gave me the time and space to develop my own ideas for a healthy well being lifestyle. Yes I based it around<em> Walking to Lose Weight </em>and even though after a while this felt restrictive in some ways, by taking my time and allowing it to grow into an even better system for success, I feel really good about where I am today.</p>
<p>I am a passionate believer in the benefits of walking, with or without weight loss as a primary motive. Sometimes weight gain or retention is symptomatic of a larger issue that surrounds someone who is unable to deal with this big picture and settles on a specific detail such as weight loss.</p>
<p>Excess weight feeds into other issues and like a circle it isn&#8217;t always clear where &#8216;it&#8217; started. These other issues also tend to be the &#8216;excuses&#8217; for not taking on the clear steps to weight loss. Well they aren&#8217;t actually &#8216;excuses&#8217; they are the causes and results of the overall malaise which is often &#8216;overwhelm&#8217;. Too many cares so often means it is difficult to focus on any one of them to a point of resolution.</p>
<p>This blog is now <strong>Walking to Lose Weight Walks Away Cares</strong>.</p>
<p>When weight loss is your only focus it is easy to do. By prioritising it, really sincerely making it my daily first and last thought, I have done it many times. Nothing beats dedicated  commitment to losing weight to&#8230;well..lose weight.</p>
<p>So short term diets and bootcamp exercise programs work for weight loss while you focus positively on them, but stop working when you don&#8217;t.</p>
<p>My overall recommendation is to make the reason WHY you want to lose weight your starting point. So often it encapsulates in the one issue a number of other issues that you seem powerless to resolve. Walking is a fine way to start treating all of you with the synergistic benefits of weight loss and feeling good, well being and health improvements and more.</p>
<p>As I continue with <strong>Walking to Lose Weight Walks Away Cares</strong> blog, I anticipate it&#8217;s growth into a trend setter for communities around the world to introduce this easy way to well being and self help.</p>

<p><span style="color: #333399;">Have you seen the rain??? Just spent hours at Lake Haven as buyers were coming to view the house. Always a good excuse to go for a little walk EXCEPT today it was a deluge beyond description. I was soaked through and took off my shoes and socks to dry under the hand dryer in the ladies which improved it a little and then I noticed that my umbrella-the big one I have had for ages but don&#8217;t normally use unless it is REALLY raining like today- was dripping red (it is a bright orange and red) and as it was too wet to go outside again I walked thru the centre dripping red dye behind me like I was Gretel leaving breadcrumbs to find my way back home!!!</span></p>

Yet including dedicated walking in your lifestyle has so much potential for improving your overall life that seeing it as primarily for weight loss undersells it. It is still highly conducive to weight loss. It also improves your overall health. Another side benefit is increased  well being, creativity and stress relief.</p>
<p>My quality of life has skyrocketed with the development of <em>walking to lose weight</em> as a lifestyle. Walking has been a life saver for me, not literally but as a path to restoring my joie de vivre.</p>
<p>I call this post <em>Walking to Lose Weight Rebel</em> to reflect my position as a professional voice for those struggling to cope with many aspects of their lifestyles including a desire for weight loss. I delight in the emphasis on using your mind to feel, look and be better! This includes using law of attraction techniques for weight loss. Basic psychology around weight loss helps us understand why you are hanging onto your weight but use of positive thinking, redefining words to your own advantage, and self affirmation helps you move beyond understanding. Dwelling on understanding your problem delays your success. Take the next step!</p>
<p>Walking is complimentary to making improvements in your life and well being. It is my best tip for overwhelm reduction!</p>
<p>The reason why many people find diet and exercise stressful relates to how they look at it. It is often seen as a a form of punishment and criticism. Even when self imposed!</p>
<p>My holistic approach focuses on increasing your quality of life overall and includes weight loss. Walking becomes the delivery system for a number of life improvements. Walking is slower for weight loss than more intrusive methods and changes can be made at a comfortable sustainable pace. The advantages are great whether you are counting steps, walking on a treadmill or outside.</p>

Weight stays off by keeping up the basics of the process once the desired weight loss is achieved.</p>
<p>For this reason any weight loss process is more than &#8216;exercise&#8217; it is a lifestyle decision. For the same reason it has to be a lot better than &#8216;old style&#8217; exercise or diets.</p>
<p>Let&#8217;s look at your support structure. Does it include a variety of exercise options that include all weather  and circumstances? Is it generally financially sound and not at risk of dropping off when other commitments get in the way? Can it withstand the occasional injury or health problem?</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>A new approach to life issues has gradually permeated the mass media and is gaining strength. The easiest example of this is the increasing popularity of TV talk host Ellen&#8217;s show and the contrast of this style to that of the reigning queen, Oprah. Both beautiful successful joyful people. Ellen&#8217;s approach is one of fun, frivolity and good times yet achieves many laudable goals on serious issues as well. Oprah has dominated with a show which was a breath of fresh air when she started but now is the old way. Her show details the down side of reality, Ellen&#8217;s laughs at it.</p>
<p><strong>Walking to Lose Weight</strong> is part of the new wave of weight loss approaches which utilise your thoughts and emotions to program yourself to accept change permanently. Another example would be Marianne Williamson&#8217;s <em>A Course in Weight Loss. </em>When it comes down to it what will work best for you is the one that allows you to develop the resources within yourself. My approach is the result of a passionate  desire for more energy. I felt (mistakenly I now believe) that there was something wrong with me that I couldn&#8217;t function fully enough to enjoy every day the way I wanted.</p>
<p>I tried the spiritual approaches. I achieved major weight loss from changing my eating. My energy levels remained erratic. Eventually I found a balanced way to exercise and eat that over time enhanced my total well being, and increased my energy availability. What was right for me was a balance between my physical and emotional/thinking self. This is a total approach to well being. A very necessary part of its success is how you think to support yourself in becoming thin.</p>
<p>This is one of the ways I explain it.</p>
<p>The placebo is a non-therapeutic pill given in blind studies testing the therapeutic effectiveness of a new medication treatment, to patients in the control group. This allows the researchers to assess the value of the drug compared to belief only. Belief only (the placebo) always works for a large number of people.</p>
<p>Just as a placebo works to improve or cure a medical condition through the power of the person&#8217;s belief alone, when practicing weight loss techniques it is important to be positive (not necessarily &#8216;believe&#8217;) about the approach&#8217;s ability and your ability to benefit from the approach.</p>
<p>In addition just as the results in your body can reflect a positive belief in the benefit of the food entering your body such as it&#8217;s good for you, healthy etc. (as in the inert pill) so a negative belief about what you are putting in your body (this&#8217;ll make me fat etc.) can also have results but of course in the opposite direction from the positive beliefs.</p>
<p>In other words <em>Walking to Lose Weight</em> strongly supports the new movement towards using the laws of attraction to leverage other processes such as diet or exercise. A thought such as &#8220;I am never able to lose weight&#8221; can impact your other efforts to lose weight. A belief in your own ability to get the results you want enhances your ability to lose weight.</p>

<p>This general misconception is more prevalent among the overweight and under exercised. While I wouldn&#8217;t necessarily advocate the same mindset as on The Biggest Loser trainers for many reasons, there are so many options available in 2011 for weight control processes and a passionate commitment may seem the criteria for choosing a diet, detox, pill, etc. Yet love of the end result is not a lifetime commitment for most people. For an ongoing result the love needs to be of the process and the results.</p>
<p>In other words when you can accept where you are and where you want to be, find ways to enjoy any process you decide to use (eating/exercise) then an improved waistline results.</p>
<p>Have you ever thought about writing a book? For most just the thought of the discipline associated with the craft is enough to stop them before they start yet if you love writing or having a say the overall process is easier, and even then you most likely will need discipline as well.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>When I was a kid I walked to school every school day-it was the only exercise I did. I didn&#8217;t think of it as exercise simply a means of getting around. Now I walk when I can and it is <strong>walking to lose weight </strong>or exercise. The reason for this emphasis is to keep in my mind that I want more from my walking as exercise than I do if I&#8217;m out for a stroll.</p>
<p>So the first thing to point out is that <em>walking to lose weight is different from walking.</em></p>
<p>Walking itself can be beneficial as a means of getting around, aiding digestion, enjoying fresh air etc. The real benefits come from regular exercise walking that includes a minimum 10 minute heart rate increase to a level of deep breathing. These benefits are also life enhancing: lowered blood pressure, mental clarity, stress relief, weight loss, general health and well being&#8230;</p>
<p>Weight loss exercise to be maintained should be a feel good exercise! For most of us that requires variety. Walking is a great addition to any exercise program and can stand alone by building increased intensity into it with longer/ harder walking to lose weight or adding other exercises to walking.</p>
<p>Walking to lose weight is the best starting point for those who are not currently exercising and haven&#8217;t for some time. Injuries or disabilities aside most people are able to walk. Any increase in walking to lose weight acts as exercise for those who are essentially inactive.</p>
<p>Getting started is easy-just do it.</p>
<p>Find some way of reminding yourself that in fact you are a person who has what it takes to find a solution to any problem that may get in your way initially. Being open to finding ways around any problem is a great way to start.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><strong>Remind Yourself That Your Weight Loss is Really There When Walking to Lose Weight</strong></p>
<p>What you see in the mirror and even trying on old clothes, depends upon your point of view or self view at the time. I&#8217;m in a place better than ever yet sometimes a cloud of weight loss doubt strikes. Fortunately I am experienced on the walking for weight loss path and I know that even at times of my most trim body I have &#8216;felt&#8217; fat. I was able to notice the negative rather than the positive. This is a no-no.</p>
<p>This is not the same as when I have <span style="text-decoration: underline;">hoped</span><strong> </strong>that no matter what I did in eating or lack of exercise that I would not put on weight. When I take<span style="text-decoration: underline;"> defiant </span>action it tends to result in what I don&#8217;t want. When I take mentally determined action it works for me.</p>
<p>I have developed a worldview that allows me to remember that when I take certain actions and have an expectation about the results from what I&#8217;m doing then it works for weight loss. Even at the times I waver and start to doubt I can and do remind myself that the current feeling (and what I&#8217;m &#8216;seeing&#8217;) is not real. It is a figment of my mind that fears failure.</p>
<p>Sometimes it&#8217;s easier to see in others. I have noticed the body shape changes in a client who has an ability to determinedly take action through exercise and diet to reinvigorate her body image. Discussing her progress can go in a good way or result in her downside. When she focuses on what she is doing and the results she is expecting she does really well. Sometimes though her family history becomes her focus and she concentrates on the restricted possibilities for her body shape. One side of the female heritage is large and pear shaped. The other side of the family history is not.</p>
<p>She bounces back and forth from trim and terrific to overtly pear shaped.</p>
<p>Yet she will not accept that she has attitude options. My desire is that she will see that she can alter her supposed unchangeable body shape. At one point when she was perfectly in shape she still saw a pear shape-until I took the tape measure and showed a balanced hip and bust size. Somehow this time of achieving the result she wants does not sustain her.</p>
<p>Feeling satisfaction with your current status is the best place to be as you continue on this walking to lose weight journey. Each step flows easily from this point.</p>
<p>Walking to Lose Weight is a resource to remind you that whatever you&#8217;re feeling in the moment can be a positive influence for you.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><strong>Why I Do What I Do with Walking to Lose Weight</strong></p>
<p>If you&#8217;re following this blog and wonder why my titles always include the words <em>walking to lose weight</em> it is to keep my keyword phrase (walking to lose weight) represented in the appropriate spots for correct search engine optimization.</p>
<p>When I started learning internet marketing in 2008 I was a relative newbie to all things internet. The process of starting my own business involved researching and finding an attractive niche with the right statistics suggesting a viable business. At the very beginning I didn&#8217;t understand enough to create many options for myself so in the end to have a project to begin with I focused on a hobby, walking to lose weight.</p>
<p>Well the hobby was weight loss really. I have been perpetually dieting, exercising or reading about weight loss since I was 12. The various analyses around weight loss showed that it is a huge industry with a highly diverse market and major online commercial viability already extremely well serviced by huge organizations.</p>
<p>The fitness industry even more so although this surprised me.</p>
<p>The humble <span style="text-decoration: underline;">walking to lose weight</span> niche though was statistically acceptable.</p>
<p>That is why I started the discipline of walking for weight loss.</p>
<p>However the why is such a small part of the story. Today my Walking to Lose Weight blog (and it is only one of a few) is something I am so grateful for and delighted with. The focus and effort required to come to grips with an internet business was a perfect combination with my desire to build a lifestyle for fitness and weight control.</p>
<p>There have been a number of ups and downs that go along with any new endeavor. Both the internet business and walking for weight loss required learning new skills and changing my attitude in a number of ways. Today I am passionate about walking to lose weight as a weight loss practice.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><strong>Am I hungry? What&#8217;s enough? Now that you are walking regularly and increasing your energy consumption, what is the best way to judge how much food is just enough?</strong></p>
<p><strong>Eating patterns develop over time. Repeated circumstances such as regularly hurrying to fit eating into a short space between tasks and choosing quick over nutrition, result in similar behaviors. The reason isn&#8217;t complex or deeply hidden- for most of us it is simply a habit. The choice is usually between one goal that supports weight loss and another goal that poor food choices satisfy. The goal that is more important at the time of the decision will be the choice made. For ease, &#8216;habits&#8217; of eating take the thinking out of the process and this saves time, and also avoids an issue that may make us feel guilty or inadequate.</strong></p>
<p><strong>When I have a good time I eat less! Usually I eat less than my hunger. I find that by duplicating the environment that makes me happy not to eat I can make good food decisions easily. Introducing an eating environment that is separate from the family social occasion where I learned the bad habits of overeating and eating for stress relief has led me to a far more satisfying relationship with food. For instance I exercise before eating as much as possible. This often  means that walking to lose weight becomes social!</strong></p>
<p><strong>Also eating with those who you want to feel good with often means adopting &#8216;normal&#8217; eating rather than &#8216;reward&#8217; eating. It&#8217;s not a bad thing to have your eating restricted by decisions based on &#8216;what is right for this occasion?&#8221; For instance at a party: dips and canape can be messy so I avoid them; standing and eating is not an elegant look, particularly while juggling drinks and a bag; chips leave my hands greasy; smaller, one bite portions are easier to handle; etc. </strong></p>
<p><strong>I have modified my eating to satisfy my body&#8217;s needs yet let me &#8216;feel good&#8217; about my eating. I am talking about the physical act of eating and this is about self image. If you haven&#8217;t had a preferred mental image than now is a good time to choose one. If instead you have had one that had nothing to do with good body habits, such as being the first person offered cheesecake (cos you love it so much), than make a different choice now, rather than letting a decision made many years ago still dictate your eating choices.</strong></p>
<p><em><strong>Walking to lose weight</strong></em><strong> is an easy alternative to food for stress relief. Exercise, and consistently walking to lose weight, means you will have a daily natural source of decompression. </strong></p>
<p><strong>Time alone particularly if I am tired triggers a desire for food. As I have only added consistent exercise into my daily life over the last few years I have needed to develop a balanced way to assess my hunger. Sometimes I am hungry even when I&#8217;ve eaten what I thought was enough. It may not be my &#8216;old&#8217; habit of eating to overcome tiredness.</strong></p>
<p><strong>Make it a game. To balance my food intake while exercising much more than I have ever done before on a regular basis, requires adjustments to my old style &#8216;diets&#8217;. You may have noticed watching </strong><em><strong>The Biggest Loser</strong></em><strong> and other shows that these contestants actually eat a lot! It is important to develop &#8216;snacking&#8217; as a tactic for effective weight control. Fruits, drinks, small meals all enable you to monitor your stomach and feel if you require more food. In the past I would diet by being hungry a lot of the time. As I didn&#8217;t exercise that much this was not a problem. Hello&#8230;if you are seriously exercising and maintaining regular activity such as walking to lose weight then eating and drinking enough is vitally important. </strong></p>
