			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Recently events have brought to my attention that many of you don&#8217;t understand this <strong>walking to lose weight</strong> lifestyle the way I do. The  new lifestyle walker finds the time to do it for the many benefits walking provides.</p>
<p>While <em>walking to lose weight </em>I do a lot of  mental reviews. It is a great way to practice law of attraction.</p>
<h3>Appreciation:</h3>
<p>As an example the act of appreciation is tantamount to inviting things you appreciate into your life. These may be replicas of what you identify as appreciating or something that will lead you to feel a similar appreciation. Set out walking with the goal of appreciating as much as possible.</p>

<p>For those whose lives have been limited by illness, depression or other restrictive issues, and overweight or regaining fitness is the aim of your <span style="text-decoration: underline;">walking to lose weight </span>program, exercise induced deep breathing is a life changer. There are physiological benefits to deep breathing and everyone knows that at some level when exercising you are breathing quicker. This is a good thing! Improved lung capacity, blood circulation, energising high&#8230;For those able to at least walk, regular, especially daily, deep breathing whether through exercise exertion or meditation is a great boost to your living skills. Walking the right way can do this! What an advantage-lose weight, get fitter, improve your  mood, and meditate all in one!</p>
<p>For those who are walking for weight loss or fitness yet still have extraordinarily interactive lives, perhaps what could be called an extraverted life, then daily meditation is a must. The first lot of people above often lack social interaction and walking acts as a means of getting out of themselves. The other group are often surrounded by others and if walking to lose weight may find it welcome personal time. If exercise without others around you is a turn off and meditation seems boring then you may be relying on stimulation from external causes and you would definitely benefit from a more traditional meditation approach.</p>

<p>The way to use your thoughts to help with<span style="text-decoration: underline;"> walking to lose weight </span>is to appreciate the distinction between thinking &#8216;<strong>you&#8217;re &#8216;getting away with something</strong>&#8216; and &#8216;<strong>feeling good</strong>&#8216; about what you&#8217;re doing.</p>
<p>Examples of &#8220;I&#8217;m getting away with it&#8221; thinking:</p>
<ul>
<li>they offered me a second helping so I&#8217;m obviously not over eating</li>
<li>no one has told me I&#8217;m overweight</li>
<li>everyone eats this much.</li>
</ul>
<p>If inside your head you are either thinking of yourself as overweight or fat but that maybe no one else has noticed or are emphasising your bad habits and de-emphasising your good habits then you are practicing negative thinking.</p>
<p>If the amount of attention or emphasis you give to negative attitudes, comments and ideas surpasses the attention or emphasis on your inspired ideas, actions and thoughts, then you are practicing negative thinking.</p>
<p>The best way to use your thoughts when walking for weight loss or using any other weight loss tactic, is to concentrate on turning a negative into a positive interpretation. The best armour for going out into the world is the  way to sway your thoughts to the positive.</p>
<p>Examples of ways to change from a &#8216;I&#8217;m getting away with it&#8217; thinking pattern.</p>
<ul>
<li>If I eat less than I  normally eat, I&#8217;m doing better than before.</li>
<li>It feels good that others like me the way I am. My weight loss is for me to enjoy.</li>
<li>I have no way of knowing what others eat in a day. All I need be aware of is what I eat, and feel good about it.</li>
</ul>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>How often have you considered walking as a way to lose weight? You may be one of the many active walkers out there but of course I&#8217;m talking specifically to anyone who hasn&#8217;t taken that first step. <strong>Walking to lose weight </strong>is an obvious exercise for those with serious weight issues. Doctors tend to be fond of it as the easiest option to &#8216;sell&#8217;. It is cheap, non-technical, can be done alone, etc. For some it is outside their capability but for most it is the easiest to adapt to any level of fitness. If getting out of the chair and walking across the room exhausts you then that is exercise!</p>
<p>I know that taking on a <em>walking to lose weight</em> program can seem daunting. This is often the exercise of last resort and the walker must contend with multiple issues. Health can play into obesity and obesity affects health. Constricting yourself from exercise for whatever reason starts a trend towards inactivity that can have serious health problems including depression.</p>
<p><strong>Walking for weight loss </strong>offers multiple benefits both physically and mentally. When you are ready to give up making excuses and put the power into solutions then <span style="text-decoration: underline;">walking to lose weight</span> has a lot to offer.</p>
<p>This recent article, <a title="Loses 200 lb One Day at a Time" href="http://www.ahealthiermichigan.org/2011/06/17/traverse-city-sportswriter-lost-200-pounds-one-day-at-a-time/" target="_blank">Traverse City Sports Writer Loses 200 Lb</a>,  includes a significant amount of information relating to obesity. However one aspect I want to focus on for some of this post is the idea that others are a good gauge in any way. Mike let himself believe that his weight wasn&#8217;t extreme because his friends didn&#8217;t mention it. We often use unconscious selection criteria when choosing friends and associates. Overweight people often surround themselves with other overweight people. Under exercisers often surround themselves with other under exercisers.</p>
<p>Most likely he already believed he was overweight but was able to avoid it by making his friends the decision makers for his behaviour. He set a criteria he knew would mean he could deny the issue. The same process but used to fin<span style="color: #333333;">d supportive thoughts, words and emotions, would have created the perfect environment for change. </span></p>

<blockquote><p><span style="color: #333333;">Isn&#8217;t that saying the same thing? It&#8217;s wrong but it&#8217;s right? The answer is NO.</span></p>
<p><span style="color: #333333;">The first step for most people is to get the difference. One way is finding excuses not to make a decision to change his behaviour, the other is finding ways to make the process easy.</span></p>
<p><span style="color: #333333;">Listen to overweight people talking about their weight, or their body parts. Suggesting that someone interested in weight loss should remove it as a statement of their<em> personal value</em> is one way of using <strong>law of attraction</strong> principles to support <em>walking for weight loss</em>.</span></p>
<p><span style="color: #333333;">Weight loss<em> shouldn&#8217;t be personal</em>. Put better, weight loss processes work best when you depersonalise them.</span></p>
<p><span style="color: #333333;"><em>Law of attraction</em> and weight loss as a combination is a natural fit. Evidence presents itself everyday of the effective use of words and thoughts but especially emotions to prompt a new view of your body.</span></p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I have just written a testimonial for a local gym and it is a reminder that when <strong>walking to lose weight </strong>and beyond i.e. for continued weight maintenance, it is important to feel good as much as possible. Sometimes that is easier than at other times.</p>
<p>When choosing an exercise program, companions or place to exercise you need to know that you can feel good <em>your way </em>there.</p>
<p>Many practice <em>feeling good </em>at all times so it is natural to want to feel good when <em>walking to lose weight</em>. Frankly it is easy when the natural advantages of exercise help make you feel great: deep breathing, accomplishment, fitter body, weight loss, endorphin release&#8230;</p>
<p>Activity including walking has many <em>feel good </em>advantages that flow over into everyday life making it better as well.</p>
<p>Combine exercise and deliberately <em>feeling good</em> and you have the best of both worlds.</p>
<p>The power of <em>feeling good</em> is what exercise brings with it. You might think that you&#8217;re walking for weight loss but over time you will find that your whole life has improved so much and it is from more than the weight loss. At first it seems as though the new self confidence is about looking better but there&#8217;s more&#8230;more energy in particular. Your real energy capacity is awesome!</p>
<p>Then you realise that it&#8217;s even more about feeling <em>so good.</em>..all of the time&#8230;</p>
<p><strong>Deliberately <em>feeling good</em> helps with all aspects of life, and if you want to  build a better lifestyle for yourself then do yourself a favour and start with the two easiest yet best value tips I can give: exercise daily in ways that feel good; and deliberately <em>feel good</em> as much as you can no matter what!</strong></p>
<p>Walking and a variety of other sorts of exercise are a mainstay in my new lifestyle. 			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>You know what I love about my life since <strong>Walking to Lose Weight</strong>?</p>
<p>I love the freedom being <span style="text-decoration: underline;">everyday fit</span> brings with it. <em>Everyday fit </em>means that my goal is simply to participate in my life at a fully committed level. It&#8217;s not about marathons or competitions. It&#8217;s not about losing the most weight or lifting the heaviest. It&#8217;s not about hiking or racing or doing treks.</p>
<p><em>Walking to lose weigh</em>t as an exercise is just the start. And beginning at the start is the only way to do it. Over time you build up fitness and reserves of strength in your muscles, that support you in other areas of your life. It&#8217;s not just about metabolism although that&#8217;s a great trick isn&#8217;t it?</p>
<p>This past week I took on some major gardening work at my home. Normally the garden is maintained by my nephew who mows and does the basic tasks. He was sick all week. I wanted the garden finished for an Open House on the Saturday. I did it myself. I spent several hours over three days to plant and weed, fertilise and water, tidy and rearrange. I lugged some heavy stuff- large pot plants etc.- sensibly of course and did it well within my limits. I had no ill effects from the unusual activity, accomplished what I needed within the deadline and ended up with a slimmer waist and hips.</p>
<p>This is just one example of the opportunities to be in charge of my life that good fitness brings.</p>
<p>There are many other benefits that you feel daily as well: health, well being, mental acuity, de stressing&#8230;</p>
<p>The <em>icing on the cake</em> is that doors are opened that I wouldn&#8217;t have considered before walking to lose weight.</p>
<p>I didn&#8217;t need to give up my wish to have certain things done in the garden. I can consider (and go) to social events that require  more physical activity than I once enjoyed.</p>
<p>My life is larger and my body is smaller. That&#8217;s what walking to lose weight can help you do.</p>

<p>This general misconception is more prevalent among the overweight and under exercised. While I wouldn&#8217;t necessarily advocate the same mindset as on The Biggest Loser trainers for many reasons, there are so many options available in 2011 for weight control processes and a passionate commitment may seem the criteria for choosing a diet, detox, pill, etc. Yet love of the end result is not a lifetime commitment for most people. For an ongoing result the love needs to be of the process and the results.</p>
<p>In other words when you can accept where you are and where you want to be, find ways to enjoy any process you decide to use (eating/exercise) then an improved waistline results.</p>
<p>Have you ever thought about writing a book? For most just the thought of the discipline associated with the craft is enough to stop them before they start yet if you love writing or having a say the overall process is easier, and even then you most likely will need discipline as well.</p>
<p>Walking is easy, walking to lose weight is harder.</p>
<p>The discipline that most need is of their thoughts. Letting yourself open to a new way of thinking and feeling about weight loss exercise.</p>
<p>The lifetime of experiences that have led you to where you are now as you read this have resulted in numerous thoughts and feelings about your weight, your body shape, your inherited abilities, your ability to lose weight, your need to lose weight, your attitude to eating, comforting yourself and standing alone, etc.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>When I was a kid I walked to school every school day-it was the only exercise I did. I didn&#8217;t think of it as exercise simply a means of getting around. Now I walk when I can and it is <strong>walking to lose weight </strong>or exercise. The reason for this emphasis is to keep in my mind that I want more from my walking as exercise than I do if I&#8217;m out for a stroll.</p>
<p>So the first thing to point out is that <em>walking to lose weight is different from walking.</em></p>
<p>Walking itself can be beneficial as a means of getting around, aiding digestion, enjoying fresh air etc. The real benefits come from regular exercise walking that includes a minimum 10 minute heart rate increase to a level of deep breathing. These benefits are also life enhancing: lowered blood pressure, mental clarity, stress relief, weight loss, general health and well being&#8230;</p>
<p>Weight loss exercise to be maintained should be a feel good exercise! For most of us that requires variety. Walking is a great addition to any exercise program and can stand alone by building increased intensity into it with longer/ harder walking to lose weight or adding other exercises to walking.</p>
<p>Walking to lose weight is the best starting point for those who are not currently exercising and haven&#8217;t for some time. Injuries or disabilities aside most people are able to walk. Any increase in walking to lose weight acts as exercise for those who are essentially inactive.</p>
<p>Getting started is easy-just do it.</p>
<p>Find some way of reminding yourself that in fact you are a person who has what it takes to find a solution to any problem that may get in your way initially. Being open to finding ways around any problem is a great way to start.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>In Australia as I write it is December 31st 2010. What an interesting year of <em>walking to lose weight</em>! I&#8217;m on track and enjoying it more than ever. The success in 2010 means 2011 is shaping up to be even better. It took 2010 a little while to flow for me as I had left the Walking to Lose Weight blog alone until about mid year when I wrote the <strong>Practical Law of Attraction for Weight Loss </strong>ebook. This was tremendous fun and help and the feedback great. However I have still to complete the final version for publishing.</p>
<p>In addition my intentions for subscribers is to offer regular thoughts and weight loss tips on the lifestyle of exercise and weight balance based on the successful weight loss practices of Walking to Lose Weight. Weight maintenance is a similar process to weight loss however should be seamlessly fitting into our lifestyle. Also I plan to make some activity options available locally for those interested in Walking to Lose Weight.</p>

<p>Making decisions on the run while out with others can challenge your focus on weight loss as your primary decision criteria. It may support or upset your confidence in your <em>walking to lose weight</em> process. The best thing you can do is to set yourself up so being out with others (or at home in a social situation) is a joyful extension of your routine weight loss process.</p>
<p>To keep up with a positive social life, prepare for it and then stay focused on yourself without expecting others to take on a weight loss caretaker role. Walking for weight loss gives you the basis for taking personal responsibility for your body. You can do it on your own, you have thinking time to mentally prepare yourself to be the person who is capable of making good decisions.</p>
<p>There are lots of hints and tips that I use for these situations, occasionally or more often. I find talking with others also provides new ideas and insights into different types of occasions and their answers can be creative. One woman I know makes a game of encouraging her husband to eat from her plate at a restaurant and claims he almost always eats the most of it!</p>
<p>Typically I make my game when eating out with friends (and I keep it to myself) that I want to finish eating last so I start eating after everyone else has started, take small bites, leave some food on my plate. If someone asks I just say I have had enough.</p>
<p>If I am at a dinner party or a restricted menu restaurant, then I do what I can to divert attention from how much or what I am eating. Make the occasion your focus, a birthday party, anniversary, Christmas, etc. Find things to do that take you away from the food and eating or drinking. Help in the kitchen, play with the children, organize entertainment (dvds etc), fetch and carry, play hostess, dance.</p>
<p>At this time of year take some time to think up tactics for the social season. Collect Christmas weight loss tips from magazines or blogs. Try a few of them out to see how they feel for you. Maybe you can modify them to suit you? Practice a positive worldview around your ability to combine <a title="Walking to Lose Weight" href="http://www.walkingtoloseweight.net/subscribe" target="_blank">walking to lose weight </a>with a social life.</p>
<p>What is the real purpose of the event for you? Is it to eat too much food, high calorie meals and alcoholic drinks, or is it to celebrate a significant holiday or perhaps have a good time and relax away from work or home duties? Say no to invitations that are filled with expectation that you will participate in overeating or drinking. Say yes to those that allow you to enjoy being involved without forcing food onto you.</p>
<p>Sometimes forethought helps by preparing decisions in advance- diet drinks or water, always having a glass of water with your dinner, make one glass of wine last all night, drink watered down drinks, low calorie beer or wine, etc.</p>
<p>The attraction of alcohol can be social pressure which some of the ways above may help you resist, and also the relaxed social attitude that comes from drinking. I&#8217;m not talking about drinking to excess but the social ease that can come with those small sips of wine. If you find making the decision to not drink alcohol when out with others is hard to do because it is the only way you enjoy yourself, play a game with yourself when attending a party by filling your glass with diet soda and pretending that you are feeling more and more at ease with each sip. Fill your mind and body with the same feelings of relaxation that comes when you take that first sip of an alcoholic drink. Make up a fancy name for it and feel better about yourself. Have fun!</p>
<p>These are Christmas weight loss tips that really work to keep walking to lose weight an easy part of your lifestyle.</p>
