			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>So I may have been a little bit cocky yesterday as I confidently tweeted &#8220;Wet weather is no deterrent for enthusiastic walkers with Gore-tex shoes!&#8221; Under normal circumstances I would have been right but the day turned out to be different then I thought. Read to the end to find out why.</p>
<p><strong>Walking to Lose Weight</strong> has morphed into something different-a lifestyle concept- for me personally and this has been the <strong>new</strong> story I&#8217;ve been telling for some time. I am delighted to see the number of new sites and gyms using the concept as well. The majority are not directly related to my efforts but some are. No this is a movement whose time has come!</p>
<p>While I have walked on and off for years prior to starting <em>Walking to Lose Weight, </em>the<em> </em>blog also gave me the opportunity to learn a new skill such as using the internet (I had been mostly a basic user) for marketing, and gave me the time and space to develop my own ideas for a healthy well being lifestyle. Yes I based it around<em> Walking to Lose Weight </em>and even though after a while this felt restrictive in some ways, by taking my time and allowing it to grow into an even better system for success, I feel really good about where I am today.</p>
<p>I am a passionate believer in the benefits of walking, with or without weight loss as a primary motive. Sometimes weight gain or retention is symptomatic of a larger issue that surrounds someone who is unable to deal with this big picture and settles on a specific detail such as weight loss.</p>
<p>Excess weight feeds into other issues and like a circle it isn&#8217;t always clear where &#8216;it&#8217; started. These other issues also tend to be the &#8216;excuses&#8217; for not taking on the clear steps to weight loss. Well they aren&#8217;t actually &#8216;excuses&#8217; they are the causes and results of the overall malaise which is often &#8216;overwhelm&#8217;. Too many cares so often means it is difficult to focus on any one of them to a point of resolution.</p>
<p>This blog is now <strong>Walking to Lose Weight Walks Away Cares</strong>.</p>
<p>When weight loss is your only focus it is easy to do. By prioritising it, really sincerely making it my daily first and last thought, I have done it many times. Nothing beats dedicated  commitment to losing weight to&#8230;well..lose weight.</p>
<p>So short term diets and bootcamp exercise programs work for weight loss while you focus positively on them, but stop working when you don&#8217;t.</p>
<p>My overall recommendation is to make the reason WHY you want to lose weight your starting point. So often it encapsulates in the one issue a number of other issues that you seem powerless to resolve. Walking is a fine way to start treating all of you with the synergistic benefits of weight loss and feeling good, well being and health improvements and more.</p>
<p>As I continue with <strong>Walking to Lose Weight Walks Away Cares</strong> blog, I anticipate it&#8217;s growth into a trend setter for communities around the world to introduce this easy way to well being and self help.</p>

<p><span style="color: #333399;">Have you seen the rain??? Just spent hours at Lake Haven as buyers were coming to view the house. Always a good excuse to go for a little walk EXCEPT today it was a deluge beyond description. I was soaked through and took off my shoes and socks to dry under the hand dryer in the ladies which improved it a little and then I noticed that my umbrella-the big one I have had for ages but don&#8217;t normally use unless it is REALLY raining like today- was dripping red (it is a bright orange and red) and as it was too wet to go outside again I walked thru the centre dripping red dye behind me like I was Gretel leaving breadcrumbs to find my way back home!!!</span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;">My life is an adventure, I hope yours is too!</span></p>

It is the easier option and money isn&#8217;t an issue. We know money is never the main issue or Oprah wouldn&#8217;t be struggling with her weight. The reasons <strong>you</strong> use for not walking are the tip of your own personal iceberg. So come with <strong>Walking to Lose Weight</strong> if you have more on your mind then weight loss.</p>
<p>Articles and experts who tell us that women in particular gain weight over 40 as their metabolic rates decrease are simply offering an explanation for why many people experience weight gain. In the public mind the reason is often seen as the age increase instead of the accumulation of life experiences that pull our commitment and brain space all over the place.</p>
<p>Weight gain has a lot to do with your lifestyle. Not just one &#8216;wrong&#8217; thing but a series of choices that can detract from health and well being. I&#8217;ve put those other non-weight issues in there as overwhelm and excess stress is one way of accumulating weight instead of wealth and good times.</p>
<p>Gradually as we live our lives over many years our daily lives change. Levels of physical activity, body issues and commitments, take the focus away from connecting your body with yourself. I like to say that there is only one fact about our bodies-it will definitely be with you until the day you die! </p>
<p>Walking is a passion of mine as it is a wonderful way to bring balance back into your mindset. As <strong>walking to lose weight</strong> offers benefits for those having other issues such as anxiety, depression, health concerns, on top of wishing to lose weight, it is a remarkable tool for repairing your lifestyle. Yes it takes &#8216;longer&#8217; to lose depending on where you start from-but taking a bit of time doesn&#8217;t matter when you recognise that these are changes you&#8217;re making for life! It is not a short term exercise! Whatever you use to lose the weight is likely to be required post weight loss to keep up the results. So the way you choose to lose weight is a choice you make about how you will live your life forever.</p>
<p>Sorry if you&#8217;re a &#8216;just the facts&#8217; sort of person. Actually I&#8217;m not sorry. Heaps of people live their lives as though their body belongs to someone else and if they just nag it enough it will do &#8216;the right thing&#8217;. Does this work with your children?</p>
<p>It is just possible that if you create a new level of relationship with your body you might learn how to have a new way of talking to your children as well. Don&#8217;t however go there too soon. </p>
<p>Part of the typical problem is the swamping of your self respect around your body, a &#8216;sacrifice&#8217; of it as a priority because you have other priorities now. If you had role models from the previous generation who had kept their own body goals with the addition of husband, children, bosses, etc. then you might have skipped any neglect issues around your own body. Certainly post-2000 generations are fortunate to have a media which promotes the continued body care after marriage and pregnancy of many women in the arts and entertainment, and now for everyday people.</p>
<p>Those who still have the hangover of expectations that married women, mothers and grandmothers should act, look and be, less concerned about their own priorities may find it hard to easily keep fit and healthy.</p>
<p>I will be starting a new approach to Walking to Lose Weight that incorporates the self care issues. Walking is my favourite way to de-stress. It is also a great way to get fitter, feel younger and look good.</p>

<p>My quality of life has skyrocketed with the development of <em>walking to lose weight</em> as a lifestyle. Walking has been a life saver for me, not literally but as a path to restoring my joie de vivre.</p>
<p>I call this post <em>Walking to Lose Weight Rebel</em> to reflect my position as a professional voice for those struggling to cope with many aspects of their lifestyles including a desire for weight loss. I delight in the emphasis on using your mind to feel, look and be better! This includes using law of attraction techniques for weight loss. Basic psychology around weight loss helps us understand why you are hanging onto your weight but use of positive thinking, redefining words to your own advantage, and self affirmation helps you move beyond understanding. Dwelling on understanding your problem delays your success. Take the next step!</p>
<p>Walking is complimentary to making improvements in your life and well being. It is my best tip for overwhelm reduction!</p>
<p>The reason why many people find diet and exercise stressful relates to how they look at it. It is often seen as a a form of punishment and criticism. Even when self imposed!</p>
<p>My holistic approach focuses on increasing your quality of life overall and includes weight loss. Walking becomes the delivery system for a number of life improvements. Walking is slower for weight loss than more intrusive methods and changes can be made at a comfortable sustainable pace. The advantages are great whether you are counting steps, walking on a treadmill or outside.</p>

<p>Getting older offers one particular blessing-that there is no one &#8216;found it&#8217; going to do it that way for the rest of my life&#8230;Everything changes, yourself included. There is a certain comfort in knowing that &#8216;well I&#8217;ve made that decision&#8217; and not having to think it out again but if you&#8217;ve accepted what once was the best decision for you at the time as a forever decision you may benefit enormously from reviewing it. Such as your attitude to exercise or weight loss and in this particular case, <em>Walking to Lose Weight</em>.</p>
<p>I know that Walking to Lose Weight has been hidden from others to a certain extent by most people who do it. There has been good reason for this. Others even with the best intentions often don&#8217;t &#8216;get it&#8217; and this can be discouraging for some. Since it is a regular and time consuming habit it can alter your lifestyle and ways of associating with friends. Over time it can mean making new friends though so look at it as a way of expanding your social or employment network.</p>
<p>Try walking the New York way for instance. This city is well know for walking. It is not an entertainment but a means of getting around. <p>Or use a lunch break to walk to a vendor on the other side of the city. Walk to do your chores such as dry cleaning, etc.</p>

<p><em>Walking to  Lose Weight </em>maintains a relaxed yet successful attitude to exercise and caring for your  own well being. Governments, those in or associated with, public office and other organisations around the world, here in Australia and also in the USA especially over recent years, have implemented programming promoting walking.</p>
<p>Our societies have been dominated by transportation issues and not as friendly to walkers and runners.</p>
<p>Now it is more supported and enjoyable to start and advance a walking for weight loss program. This is  not for weight loss alone as the advantages of exercise and walking in particular is the fitness and well being that this simple process brings. It  helps prepare us for taking on more activity as we age rather than less.</p>
<p>Walking and weight loss are now out front, high profile rather than hidden. It has become  obvious to me as I move around that many people are active on purpose. This often includes walking. It is a stand by for those times when a pick up is needed whether in mood, clarity of mind, or weigh loss.</p>
<p>Being <em>active on purpose </em>is more about enabling ourselves to continue to be an active, involved, participant in our lives.</p>

<p><strong>Walking to Lose Weight </strong>has become a lifestyle choice for many women in recent times. I know that men do it as well, but often as a part of their journey elsewhere. On the way to running for instance or because the doctor said so.</p>
<p>I find it wonderful that there is a silent revolution happening within our everyday lives that is the easy sure way to add fitness and weight control to our lifestyles. It doesn&#8217;t matter why I am walking anymore walking has become a part of my life that I like to keep doing because it enhances it!</p>
<p>In this <em>Walking to Lose Weight </em>post what I want to talk about today is walking as a part of most people&#8217;s way of caring for themselves in body and mind. I find that when I mention walking for weight loss in conversation to others I&#8217;ve just met, so often they say the same thing: I walk too!</p>
<p>There are so many different ways to be walking for weight loss that walkers do not necessarily run into each other!</p>
<p>It appeals to so many people and even those who have moved on from weight loss as motivation still commit to walking as an addition to their lifestyle.</p>
<p>Walking as a lifestyle habit is one of the best you can have. It enables peace of mind and clarity of thinking. Take a look at this video of Will Smith. He talks about running as a key to a successful  life. Substitute walking and the same applies. We&#8217;re not all going to be Will.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Recently events have brought to my attention that many of you don&#8217;t understand this <strong>walking to lose weight</strong> lifestyle the way I do. The  new lifestyle walker finds the time to do it for the many benefits walking provides.</p>
<p>While <em>walking to lose weight </em>I do a lot of  mental reviews. It is a great way to practice law of attraction.</p>
<h3>Appreciation:</h3>
<p>As an example the act of appreciation is tantamount to inviting things you appreciate into your life. These may be replicas of what you identify as appreciating or something that will lead you to feel a similar appreciation. Set out walking with the goal of appreciating as much as possible.</p>

<p>For those whose lives have been limited by illness, depression or other restrictive issues, and overweight or regaining fitness is the aim of your <span style="text-decoration: underline;">walking to lose weight </span>program, exercise induced deep breathing is a life changer. There are physiological benefits to deep breathing and everyone knows that at some level when exercising you are breathing quicker. This is a good thing! Improved lung capacity, blood circulation, energising high&#8230;For those able to at least walk, regular, especially daily, deep breathing whether through exercise exertion or meditation is a great boost to your living skills. Walking the right way can do this! What an advantage-lose weight, get fitter, improve your  mood, and meditate all in one!</p>
<p>For those who are walking for weight loss or fitness yet still have extraordinarily interactive lives, perhaps what could be called an extraverted life, then daily meditation is a must. The first lot of people above often lack social interaction and walking acts as a means of getting out of themselves. The other group are often surrounded by others and if walking to lose weight may find it welcome personal time. If exercise without others around you is a turn off and meditation seems boring then you may be relying on stimulation from external causes and you would definitely benefit from a more traditional meditation approach.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>This post is about one way it is easy to love <strong>Walking to Lose Weight</strong>! It is an example of how I keep walking in my life by focusing on how it helps and rewards my body with fitness and endorphins and weight control.</p>
<p><em>Walking to lose weight</em> is my basic exercise. I do lots of other things and these change with the seasons and my timetable.</p>
<p>This &#8216;appreciation&#8217; process is simply <em>law of attraction</em> in action! Sometimes I write them down, sometimes I put them into a conversation, sometimes I just think about them. The list changes because there are always new ways to appreciate walking:</p>
<ul>
<li>Whenever I use the Leg Press machine at the gym it reminds me how strong my  legs are! Not just with me but also with other regular walkers.</li>
<li>The value of strong legs is always there as it is easy for me to get up and down off the floor-in fact I love to do it and don&#8217;t hesitate to get down and dirty to play with kids.</li>
<li>I get great ideas and insights when I&#8217;m doing it. It is meditative, reflective and inspirational time for me.</li>
<li>There are &#8216;hidden&#8217; walkers everywhere and it is an immediate bond! Throw it in the conversation and see who else walks.</li>
<li>Walking is a fun way to explore and get to know a new area.</li>
</ul>
<p>Finding the pleasure in your action is a significant life enhancer! Use it throughout your life but specifically to keep feeling good about your exercise or weight loss process.</p>
<p>Simply start with 5 ways you enjoy <span style="text-decoration: underline;">walking to lose weight</span>. Make a game of it by trying to find 5 new ways each time you walk. Watch how this adds to your pleasure when you walk for weight loss.</p>

<p>The way to use your thoughts to help with<span style="text-decoration: underline;"> walking to lose weight </span>is to appreciate the distinction between thinking &#8216;<strong>you&#8217;re &#8216;getting away with something</strong>&#8216; and &#8216;<strong>feeling good</strong>&#8216; about what you&#8217;re doing.</p>
<p>Examples of &#8220;I&#8217;m getting away with it&#8221; thinking:</p>
<ul>
<li>they offered me a second helping so I&#8217;m obviously not over eating</li>
<li>no one has told me I&#8217;m overweight</li>
<li>everyone eats this much.</li>
</ul>
<p>If inside your head you are either thinking of yourself as overweight or fat but that maybe no one else has noticed or are emphasising your bad habits and de-emphasising your good habits then you are practicing negative thinking.</p>
<p>If the amount of attention or emphasis you give to negative attitudes, comments and ideas surpasses the attention or emphasis on your inspired ideas, actions and thoughts, then you are practicing negative thinking.</p>
<p>The best way to use your thoughts when walking for weight loss or using any other weight loss tactic, is to concentrate on turning a negative into a positive interpretation. The best armour for going out into the world is the  way to sway your thoughts to the positive.</p>
<p>Examples of ways to change from a &#8216;I&#8217;m getting away with it&#8217; thinking pattern.</p>
<ul>
<li>If I eat less than I  normally eat, I&#8217;m doing better than before.</li>
<li>It feels good that others like me the way I am. My weight loss is for me to enjoy.</li>
<li>I have no way of knowing what others eat in a day. All I need be aware of is what I eat, and feel good about it.</li>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>How often have you considered walking as a way to lose weight? You may be one of the many active walkers out there but of course I&#8217;m talking specifically to anyone who hasn&#8217;t taken that first step. <strong>Walking to lose weight </strong>is an obvious exercise for those with serious weight issues. Doctors tend to be fond of it as the easiest option to &#8216;sell&#8217;. It is cheap, non-technical, can be done alone, etc. For some it is outside their capability but for most it is the easiest to adapt to any level of fitness. If getting out of the chair and walking across the room exhausts you then that is exercise!</p>
<p>I know that taking on a <em>walking to lose weight</em> program can seem daunting. This is often the exercise of last resort and the walker must contend with multiple issues. Health can play into obesity and obesity affects health. Constricting yourself from exercise for whatever reason starts a trend towards inactivity that can have serious health problems including depression.</p>
<p><strong>Walking for weight loss </strong>offers multiple benefits both physically and mentally. When you are ready to give up making excuses and put the power into solutions then <span style="text-decoration: underline;">walking to lose weight</span> has a lot to offer.</p>
<p>This recent article, <a title="Loses 200 lb One Day at a Time" href="http://www.ahealthiermichigan.org/2011/06/17/traverse-city-sportswriter-lost-200-pounds-one-day-at-a-time/" target="_blank">Traverse City Sports Writer Loses 200 Lb</a>,  includes a significant amount of information relating to obesity. However one aspect I want to focus on for some of this post is the idea that others are a good gauge in any way. Mike let himself believe that his weight wasn&#8217;t extreme because his friends didn&#8217;t mention it. We often use unconscious selection criteria when choosing friends and associates. Overweight people often surround themselves with other overweight people. Under exercisers often surround themselves with other under exercisers.</p>
<p>Most likely he already believed he was overweight but was able to avoid it by making his friends the decision makers for his behaviour. He set a criteria he knew would mean he could deny the issue. The same process but used to fin<span style="color: #333333;">d supportive thoughts, words and emotions, would have created the perfect environment for change. </span></p>

<blockquote><p><span style="color: #333333;">Isn&#8217;t that saying the same thing? It&#8217;s wrong but it&#8217;s right? The answer is NO.</span></p>
<p><span style="color: #333333;">The first step for most people is to get the difference. One way is finding excuses not to make a decision to change his behaviour, the other is finding ways to make the process easy.</span></p>
<p><span style="color: #333333;">Listen to overweight people talking about their weight, or their body parts. Suggesting that someone interested in weight loss should remove it as a statement of their<em> personal value</em> is one way of using <strong>law of attraction</strong> principles to support <em>walking for weight loss</em>.</span></p>
<p><span style="color: #333333;">Weight loss<em> shouldn&#8217;t be personal</em>. Put better, weight loss processes work best when you depersonalise them.</span></p>
<p><span style="color: #333333;"><em>Law of attraction</em> and weight loss as a combination is a natural fit. Evidence presents itself everyday of the effective use of words and thoughts but especially emotions to prompt a new view of your body.</span></p>
