Day 16
New Reasons for Walking to Lose Weight
Walking Goals
By this point you know to calculate how much walking to lose weight you averaged since the last time you checked your stats. Be flexible, it doesn’t have to be a predetermined or a regular period but it does have to be meaningful-by keeping regular updates, preferably daily, this information is readily available. You will know by now how much time to spend, where to go if you want long walking without interruption, etc.
Counting steps means you know that if you haven’t reached 80% of the day’s goal by a certain time, say 6 p.m. then you won’t make it for the day. Or you may do your walking at night. I can sometimes be found jumping around in front of the television adding extra steps to get a decent total for the day.
When setting your walking to lose weight goals for the next period variety is important so be creative. Setting goals which stretch your previous efforts stimulates creativity and often invites new ideas to pop into your mind. Go with these auto suggestions modifying as you go if you need to, but keep interested in adding difference into your program often.
Remind yourself often of the advantages of walking to lose weight.
