Walking to Lose Weight-Day 21

Positive Influences

As part of a successful weight loss program consider the many and diverse influences surrounding you daily. Potentially useful as success tools are any of the many magazines or books devoted to weight loss or exercise issues. Similarly useful blogs and forums abound on the Internet. Several news articles on walking to lose weight become available every day.

A primary influence on our opinions and source of education about diet and weight loss is wherever we spend most of our leisure time. The gym could be a source of information and maybe the local cafe is also.

Obviously if you spend some time watching favourite TV shows, their attitude to overweight and exercise or diet may affect yours. Celebrity diets are a separate category they are so popular for the average young person.

Be aware of the attitudes and influences you are taking in. Choose to support those which support what you want.

The Biggest Loser – Does It Help You Lose Weight?

Watching The Biggest Loser can be reassuring if you are very overweight – you can see that there are others in this same position and that they can lose a lot of weight. Seeing fat exposed in public means it loses it’s shock value after watching it for a while. These are both good.

Other people who also walk to lose weight can help you stick to your routine, try new things or make a change you’ve been reluctant to make. Does it follow then that a show like The Biggest Loser is a positive tool to include in your walking to lose weight support system?

The Biggest Loser offers much in the way of focus. It’s number one benefit in my opinion. Every time you tune in you are aware of anything you should be doing such as exercising or making diet changes.

How much The Biggest Loser can be used to help you lose weight is mostly about your mental discipline. Use the thoughts, feelings and focus in positive ways without making yourself dependent on the TV program for support. Don’t tie your weight loss to the show.

Other TV programs also create positive thought processes, e.g. So You Think You Can Dance shows commitment and dedication as a way of life. Watching all those beautiful bodies doesn’t really have a downside for weight loss contenders.

The answer to the question as to whether watching The Biggest Loser can help you lose weight remains up to you. by now if you are interested in weight loss you’ve probably already watched at least one season. Did you lose weight? If so, did it stay off?

Having answered the question yourself you know whether the high intensity Biggest Loser approach is for you or if Walking to Lose Weight suits you better.
