Walking to Lose Weight Tip 2
Double your chances of being a lifetime success at walking to lose weight!
Tip 2: When walking to lose weight for life make it a major contributor to your lifestyle, whether through income, health or hobby.
When living a pre-structured life, such as when working for someone else, for a career or otherwise, there are a number of work related tasks which are necessary but we don’t have to do personally. We may not even realise that someone does some of them.
In the above examples it generally doesn’t matter what out attitude is to these various corporate decisions. We still live by them. When we take on a lifestyle that requires major changes it may take some time to put a strong support system or platform back into place on a personal level. This may mean making new choices which will aid weight loss-for instance, deciding where you shop, what walking to lose weight tools you buy, where you eat, who you eat with, how you exercise, how to allocate money, what you do with spare time, etc.
One way is to incorporate major changes in such a way as to make your commitment to the process more or less involuntary. Many people get this from a major health threat but there is also the more public commitment celebrities and reality show contestants incorporate into their lives.
Another way is to make it a business process such as that similar to those celebrities who have lost weight, such as Oprah and Kirsty Ally, or successful weight losers who endorse or set up their own business. By making your new active healthy lifestyle a source of income then its continuance becomes enforced by a natural dual- success motivation. Something which changes your decision making process for everything as basic as money or the food you eat has to be significant to you. Think about the other significant lifestyle changes you have made: going away to college, buying a house, having a child. Is it true that your life is affected over a long period by these decisions? Were they all easy straight away or did it take some time to get familiar with new rules, goals, friends, financial aspects, etc.?
If your initial motivation is to look slim, this goal goes when it is achieved.
By making the continued maintenance of this new look a part of another motivating goal, it becomes sustainable.
